NZ Author, Marie Munro
New Zealand author visit!
Such an exciting morning! Renowned New Zealand author, Marie Munro popped in for a surprise visit!! She introduced us to her new book called “Nana’s Shed”, and thanks to SIKA’s generous contribution we could pre-order a few copies for our library! We managed to have a sneaky peek into it, and we are sure you are all going to LOVE the bold illustrations along with te reo Mãori search questions that feature on each page. It also contains a three page Maori/English Glossary! So so handy!

Book published by Room 25!
With support from Whaea Carolyn, Room 25 published a book called "Where is Mr Robertson?". It tells the story of gardening, planting healthy vegetables, harvesting, and
then eating the healthy foods, but do you know what makes this book pretty special??
The book features ALL of Room 25 and their starry selves as the main characters!! How cool is that!! Come and have a look in our library. It is on the "new book" display stand.
Once again we are thanking the Team at Sika for being kind enough to sponsor our Tamariki in Te Whanau with all the necessary equipment, plants and all that was needed to set this garden scene.
"Tell me and I forget, Teach me and i will remember, Involve me and I learn" - Benjamin Franklin
Sika, your generosity is invaluable to our school.
Some of our very special characters featuring in the book.

Thank you to SIKA BUILDING TRUST!
Massive SHOUT OUT to
the team at Sika for their very generous contribution of $1000 towards
purchasing some pretty choice books for our library!!
We are extremely
grateful and appreciate this kind koha. We plan to upgrade our Graphic Novel
section of the library, one of the most loved genres of books we have.
Absolutely legendary!
Last but by no means
least, huge thanks goes to our amazing Whaea Carolyn who initiated contact and
liased with them to make this happen.
Once again, THANK YOU
TEAM SIKA, YOU ROCK!!!

Kia ora!!
A very warm welcome to everyone, and wow! time is flying. We are way into term 1 already!
It is with absolute delight that i introduce to you our lovely team of librarians for 2018.
The team was introduced at our assembly last week and proudly received their librarian
badges. They are an amazing bunch, very enthusiastic and very excited to take on their
new roles. Once they are fully trained, they will be issuing/returning and shelving books
for the junior classes.
Please come and say "Hi" to them when you see them around.
Back row: Mr Pirihi (Principal)
Front row: Shahieda, Totonu, Hermine, Melissa, Catherine, Memphis,
Timote, Vanessa, Victoria, Pelepesite
